- Bargain hunt in the Flea market opposite Parque Genovés (Sunday am)
- Hire a bike from the shop opposite the apartment and explore
- Visit the restored fresh produce market (Mon - Sat)
- Watch the sunset from Playa de la Caleta from the bar in the wall
- Visit the Torre Tavira and see the cámera oscura with a 360deg view of Cadiz
- Visit the Cathedral and explore the Barrio del Pópulo
- See a summer concert in the open air theatre
- Take a trip to the restored Gran Teatro Falla
- Enjoy live music, often free in the Sala Cultural Central Lechera
- Visit the artesania fayre 11/12 - 5/01/2010 plaza San Antonio
- Take a coffee in one of the wonderful plazas (many with WiFi)
- Stroll along the 3km beach fronting the paseo maritimo with it's bars and    restaurants
- Shop shop shop...there are great fashion stores just round the corner

Further a Field ( see transport options )
- Take the boat shuttle to 10km across the bay to El Puerto de Santa Maria
- Hop on an air conditioned bus to one of famous white villages, like Vejer
- A day trip to Jerez by train ( 40mins) or Seville
- All the above departure points are a short walk from the apartment
