For visits further a field the water shuttle serves the nearby coastal towns, local buses serve the white villages, and the train station takes you wherever you want. A day trip to Jerez or even Seville is easy, plus in the hotter summer months Cadiz is always cooler to return to.
Cadiz, being a port has been a transport hub for hundreds of years. All transport options are within a 5 - 10 minute walk from the apartment. Public transport is good and highly recommended.

This is a great location to stay for the race track at Jerez, the Jerez horse fair and the sailing championships in the bay.

Every year more international cruise ships dock here, come and see why it's such a popular destination. 2012 is the bicentenary of the Spanish constitution that was written in Cadiz, with many celebrations planned, visit now before everyone else finds out.
